Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Surkyl's services, including MueSync and all related products. It covers both content policies (what you can upload and share) and licensing policies (how you use your licenses and accounts).
We operate on a principle of good faith. We offer flexibility (unlimited devices, grace periods, generous quotas) because we trust our users. In return, we expect users to respect these systems and not abuse them.
This AUP is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Enforcement
We take violations of this policy seriously. Consequences depend on the severity and nature of the violation.
Content Violations
| First violation | Warning and content removal |
| Repeated violations | Account suspension (temporary) |
| Severe violations | Account termination |
Licensing/Account Violations
| Minor violations | Warning and correction request |
| Repeated/intentional violations | License revocation and account suspension |
| Hostile behavior | Immediate termination — no warning |
Reserved Rights
We reserve the right to:
- Terminate accounts immediately without warning for hostile behavior
- Revoke licenses for material breach of this policy
- Report illegal activity to law enforcement
- Pursue legal action for damages caused by violations
- Refuse service to anyone who has previously violated this policy
What We Consider "Hostile"
The following behaviors are considered hostile and will result in immediate termination without warning:
- License key sharing: Sharing license keys publicly or privately with unauthorized users
- Payment manipulation: Intentionally gaming grace periods or payment systems
- Reverse engineering: Any attempt to reverse engineer our software or AI models
- Circumvention: Any detected attempt to circumvent licensing or quota systems
- Chargeback fraud: Filing chargebacks after consuming services in bad faith
- Model extraction: Attempting to extract or recreate our AI models
- Credential sharing: Sharing account credentials to exceed seat limits
Why "hostile"? We offer good-faith systems (unlimited devices, grace periods, generous quotas) because we trust our users. Abusing these systems breaks that trust and harms the community. We respond accordingly.
